a Telegram is something people used in the olden days.It is better to use as few words as possible because you have to pay money for every word you write thats why it sometimes does not make sence but people don't send telegrams any more so you don't usally have to do that but some people text some words that don't make sence on their phones (less words). They were sent by post office they were much quicker than mail.
Globalisation 1. People used to travel,they used to walk around every where to see people. They sent telegrams,/notes or letters before there were emails. They used to use post boxes. 2. people communicate now with skype, things to do with computers, phones and all things that most people have in their hands right now.
Back when people used to send telegrams it was much harder because they also had to walk every where. There was also a delay when people sent messages so you could not know things straight away. In our days it can send emails and you arrives on your computer straight away but sometimes sending letters now is a bit slow too. Also back in the days the letters traveled by ship but now they travel by plane which is faster.
Things were way more difficult but they are getting easier and easier!!!
Sci Tech In Sci Tech this week we have been doing our real copy of our spray bottle and we took ages tring ti get the size perfect we had fun. We have also been finishing everything this week becaue the real Sci Tech is this week we really want to get this finise. My group have finised the bottle design and now we are putting everything into the hall for the real Si Tech. Sci Tech In Sci Techwe have been inventing a spray product, we had to design a spray product and make up a catch phrase and a name. Our name for our spray bottle is Natural buster bee and our catch phrase is really long but it is Boom Boom Buzz x2 spray it on the surface it is all cleaned up Boom Boom Buzz you need a clean surface than call us up, we say it really fast though.It has been really fun in Sci Tech this week designing spray bottles!!! Sci Tech Agar plates: With the agar plates we have been using some people went to some dirty place and rubed an sterile swab on the dirty place and then rubed it all over the agar plate on the jelly. In Sci Tech we have also been writing bosy insructions. Sci Tech In Sci Tech this week my group have been doing a project on unnatural and natural products. We have been learning really cool stuff in Sci Tech and I am learning alot about bacteria and cells.
My Speech my speech is about why we should be able to talk to animals. I have got three/four reasons and one of them is so we can look after them if they are hurt or if they need help for something. My Holidays In the first week of my holidays I went to Paihia and we went to this place called action world and at action word there is a very high tight rope and I went on it about 30 times. At action world there is also this really hard looking thing called a trapeze and i'm never going on it. in the second week of my holidays I went to snowplanet and we skied for about 7 hours and it is also a very long drive from my house.my holidays were AWESOME! Last week we did dance.Last week we did dance and it was fun.Last week we did dance because we need to practice for our assembly which is in 24 days. This Legend is from England and it is called King Arthar and the knights of the round table. There was once a man named king arthar and he had . He had a wife named quinivere his knights were the knights of the round table.He was very famous as king arthar.
Culture sharing day For culture sharing day I shared something special from Hokitika which is where my Nana lives and she is very special to me. That thing I shared from Hokitika is a green stone which the Maori call Pounamu and I also shared a special rock which I found on Hokitika beach and my Nana wrote my name on it so I could remember her. Hokitika is found on the West Coast in the south island. DANCE For the past week we have been doing moves with locamotion and non-locamotion. With locamotion you travel and move and with non-locamotion youjust move on the spot it has been AWESOME this week BYE.
DANCE For the last two weeks for our topic we have been doing DANCE. In dance we have been learning about normal shapes, twisted shapes and symmetrical shapes also in dance we have been getting into groups to pratice shapes and then peform then on stage in the hall. We have all really been enjoying it as well.
WATER COLOURS
At school we have been doing art on endangered sea animals . One of the techniques is wet on wet with wet on wet you cover your page with water [don't let your water dry]and then paint over with wet paint.Another technique is called wet on dry with wet on dry you have a dry piece of paper and you paint over with wet paint. The last technique is dry on dry with dry on dry you have a dry piece of paper and you paint over with dry paint. [Good tip: dry your brush before you get the paint or dry it afterwards if you are careful enough.
EOTC WEEK!!!
The first trip we went on was the Marae. The Marae had awesome Tikis outside it and when we went inside there was this lady that said a Powhere and we learnt heaps about the Maori culture it was really fun!!!. The second trip we went on was Tree Adventures at Tree Adventures it was really fun because we were on trees and the trees are really high which made it more fun. Tree Adventures was one of my favourite trips we went on because I was having so much fun on the Tarzan swing except the part when you have to get off the swing onto the net. One of the tripswas Orienteering it was so hot and bothering. At Orienteering there was these markers that we had to find. When we found them we had to stamp them but of course we had to use a map so we could find the markers and so we know exacly where they are. I recon Orienteering is really fun! I hope other people enjoy it when they go do it to. The last trip we went to was the WAVE POOLS! The Wave Pool was really fun because there was a hydro slide and every half an hour there was waves in the pool which made it more fun. I went on the hydro slide with my friends twice but the other times I went by my self. The WAVE POOLS were so fun I really want to go there again.
